Deborah and Stephen (Wedding)

 

Here is Deborah and Stephen's wedding day pictures!!! Yay!
I know I said a lot in my post about Deborah and Stephan's Bridals, so in this post I wont' say as much. The flowers I did for Deborah and Stephen are the same as their bridal flowers.

Just to remind you of the flowers Deborah wanted: purple, purple and white peruvian lilies, white roses, purple and white calla lilies. The color of the ribbons are white (the base ribbon) and green (the top ribbon).

I also did the wedding party flowers. Corsages for the women had four purple, purple and white peruvian lilies, babies breath, and bear grass. The ribbon on the corsages is in the same style as the brides bouquet. White as the base and green over laying the top.

The boutonnieres had two purple and white peruvian lilies, babies breath, and bear grass. The ribbon on the boutonnieres were the same look but opposite, where green was the base and white was on top.

Deborah gave me a wonderful quote.

"Everyone loved my flowers. People commented on them all day! They stayed vibrant fresh long after we were done with them. Even my toddler niece told my dad his boutonniere was 'very beautiful'!"

McKay's Prom Dinner

I never went to prom, so when my younger siblings got asked I was super excited. This past school year my little brother, McKay, had his prom dinner at my parents house. My mom asked me to help her set up the table settings and do the table center pieces.

My dad, my husband, and some of my other siblings made the dinner, Chinese food! Yum! Since the dinner was Chinese food, my mom wanted a Chinese themed table.

I have seen oriental floral arrangements, but never created one. I was excited to try my hand at one. 

I really enjoyed trying to make this arrangement look as oriental as I could. 

My mom said they looked pretty. :) 

The flowers in these arrangements are: Rose, Stock, Spider Mums, Peruvian Lilies, Queen Anne's Lace, Dasies, Smaller Mums, and some extra flowers from my mom's yard. As you can see these flowers are white.

The flowers are in an a bowl like shape with a wide opening. I put green foam in the vase so I could place the flowers in the exact spots I wanted them. Then I covered the foam with moss. 

The tables turned out beautifully, according to my mom. 

I also made the corsage for McKay's date.

My mom and I found a picture of a beautiful corsage. We used white flowers and a black bracelet, because McKay's date wore a green dress. This looked very pretty with her dress. 

The flowers I used in her corsage are: Mums, Spray Roses, Wax, and Peruvian Lilies. Once again they are all white flowers.

We added the white pearl jewels and pins to give it a elegant look. I used a white sheer ribbon to combine the corsage together.

And yes this is my wrist, because that is my wedding ring.

I had a lot of fun doing this for my little brother! I'm glad I could help make his prom date a fun experience. From what he said, his date liked his corsage and the other people in his group date really enjoyed the dinner. They probably enjoyed the food more than the flowers, but I really enjoyed getting the dinner, table, and flowers ready.

Deborah and Stephen (Bridals)

Sorry it has been so long, but here is the next post!

I met Deborah, the bride, through her sister Becca. I had the wonderful opportunity to do the flowers for her bridals and her wedding. 

 

When Deborah, Becca, and I got to talk about flowers they showed me pictures they liked. When I saw the beautiful bouquets I got really excited to create them. Deborah mentioned she wanted a cascading bouquet, which I have not done before, so I was really excited to try out a cascading bouquet. Deborah was unsure about which one she wanted, cascading or ball-shape. She decided for her bridals she wanted to try the ball-shape and if she didn't like it then we would do a cascading bouquet. 

The beauty of the flowers only reflects the beauty of the bride. These two different beauties, combined, is what every bride desires for her wedding day. For this beauty is the beauty from within her. She has found the one who sees the beauty in her and now she has the confidence to show everyone else what he sees. 

I love the colors Deborah picked, and they are: purple, green, and white. We picked purple and white flowers and the ribbon she wanted were white and green colors.

The flowers in her bouquet were white roses, calla lilies (purple and white), and peruvian lilies (dark purple, white and purple). As you can see the the flowers and colors Deborah decided on turned out beautiful!

The ribbon on the bouquet has a base of white with the green wrapped around crossing over the green. Deborah wanted a green bow with extra long ends. The ribbons give the bouquet a unique and elegant look.

Deborah wanted her, then fiance, Stephen at her bridals. Here is his boutonniere! The flowers are dark purple peruvian lilies, a white spray rose, babies breath, and bear grass. I used the green ribbon to wrap the boutonniere. It looks perfect with Stephen's purple tie!

After her bridals were done Deborah decided she like the look of the bouquet and boutonniere and that is what she wanted for her wedding day. I don't blame her. I loved how these flowers and colors turned out. I also liked working with Deborah! It was wonderful to see how excited Becca was for Deborah. It was a wonderful example of sisterhood to see how they treated each other and finished each others sentences and thoughts.
