MacKenzie & Colton (Bridals)

I love doing floral design work for friends! Well, anyone really. I really appreciate help I get from my family, and I like working with them too.

Heather, my sister, helped me with these crowns for MacKenzie.

MacKenzie couldn't decide which leaf she wanted for her floral crown, so we made two and she could decide which one she like the best. 

These are silk leaf crowns. It was done this way so MacKenzie could use them, or one of them, for her bridals and wedding.

After Heather and I worked on the crowns we did a mini photo shoot with them! Heather took all the photos for our mini shoot. We had a lot of fun. :)

We called this one the hymn book green crown. We fell in love with the deep rich color of this one.

This one we called the small light green crown. It's not that the crown itself was smaller, just the leaves were.

When MacKenzie came to get her crowns she liked both of them! But planned on using the hymn book green one for her bridals and wedding.

When time came for her bridals, they arrived to their destination and everything; MacKenzie noticed the hymn book green one was gone. Someone stole it! Rude. Thankfully she brought both of the crowns, so she wasn't empty handed for her bridals.

I wish she could have used the crown she wanted to use in the first place, but I do think her bridals are beautiful with the small light green crown.

Makayla & Alex (Wedding)

I'm in a transition phase. My lil' family have been gypsies for the past several months. Waiting for the end of July so we can drive 3 days, across the country, to our new home in Georgia! I'm a bit behind on updating my blog. Sorry!

I am super duper excited to be posting about Makayla and Alex. I loved doing this wedding!

When delivering flowers, I have received a lot of complements about the work I've done (thank you for them!), but I try to point out that it was the bride who had the final say on all the flower arrangements. So, the bride is the one who should be receiving all the complements. And Makayla really should be, because these arrangements turned out awesome! 

Here is Makayla's bouquet!

Flowers used in her cascading bouquet were pink roses, burgundy and white carnations, white stock, baby's breath, white wax flower, seeded eucalyptus, and aspen leaves.

Makayla also wanted a floral crown! Which are becoming my favorite floral arrangement. 

The flowers used in her crown are burgundy pixie carnations, baby's breath, and myrtle.

Here is Alex's boutonniere. The flowers used here are burgundy pixie carnations, baby's breath, white wax flower. Wrapped in a jute.

To set up at the reception I needed some extra hands so I asked my sister-in-law, Hannah Christensen, to come help me. She also took some pictures for me. Thank you!

This is a mother's wrist corsage. Flowers used were pink spray roses and baby's breath.

Makayla also wanted baby's breath floral crowns for her three nieces! Love these!

Jute was picked to wrap the boutonnieres and the baby's breath crowns to add to the classic rustic wedding Makayla wanted. The reception was beautiful!

Here are a few pictures of the centerpieces. Each table was arranged differently but all had similar elements and the same flowers. The flowers for the centerpieces were white stock, baby's breath, pink rose, and burgundy carnation.

I did provide the baby's breath for the cake, but the cake was made and arranged by the amazing Ann Richey Nielsen!

I love how these delicious looking naked cakes enhance the rustic feel to weddings, especially this one. Good job Ann!

Makayla wanted extra baby's breath around the reception hall with the other reception decor. I love how the baby's breath, the wood logs and slabs, and the colors all came together to create this classic rustic feel. Loved this reception!

Congratulations Makayla and Alex! I'm beyond thrilled you asked me to help you with your beautiful wedding day! Can you just see the happy love between these two?
